Let's not be too indelicate, but there is a distinctive difference between the working "equipment" of a stud cat and a neutered kitty that goes beyond whether or not a boy has pom-poms. This "other difference" can be used to determine when a recently neutered cat can be allowed to be with girls without the risk of a surprise litter.
