Blue-Cream Female
The highest achievement in the show ring is accomplished when a cat successfully earns the title of National Winner (NW). CFA established the title of Grand Champion in 1930 and the title of National Winner first appeared in 1971. In CFA, each year the top 25 cats in Championship, 20 Kittens and 20 cats in Premiership are awarded the NW title
In the “All Girls” Persian division called Parti-Color, the first “Parti” Persian to earn a National Win was in 1973 when the tortoiseshell kitten, CH, NW Mata-Blu Mikki of Mar-Ree was 3rd Best Kitten in CFA.
The following year, CH, GP, NW Mar-Geo Draper’s Daphnie of Tara, was Best Cat in Premiership! The year after that in 1975 GC, NW Bryn Mawr Georgie Girl was Best Kitten in CFA. Those girls were sizzling up the show rings.
Two Parti-Colors have especially impressive show records. GC, BW, NW Kyina Patience of Oakway was Best Kitten in 1979 and Best Cat in 1980! GC, GP, BW, NW Mystichill Mighty High was a national winner as a kitten, in Championship the following year and was Best Cat in Premiership after she retired from breeding – a hat trick!
To date, 5 Particolors have risen to the top to be named Best Kitten, 2 adults have been Best Cat and 3 have been Best Cat in Premiership in CFA.
