In May 2009, the Longhaired Exotic entered the CFA show ring for the first time as a breed able to compete for grand points and CFA titles. In their first year in competition, the Longhaired Exotic proved their quality against the best cats in CFA:
- 19 Longhaired Exotics granded, 9 in Championship and 10 in Premiership.
- The 19 Longhaired Exotics grands represented 14 different catteries’ breeding.
- GC, BW, RW Blueberry Scooby-Doo was the breed’s first one-show Grand and the first LHE to earn the BW title.
The new Longhaired Exotics grands included a wide variety of colors including Solids, Bicolors, Pointed, Silvers, Tabbies and Shaded.
But new Grands were not the only highlights of the Longhaired Exotic’s debut year in the show rings of CFA:
- 2 Longhaired Exotics became regional winners, one in Championship and one in Premiership.
- 2 Longhaired Exotic neuters each earned the DW title, one in Europe and one in the Asia/Latin America Division.
- Longhaired Exotic, GP, DW Hoobee Kentaro, was BEST Alter in the International Asia/Latin America Division.
Congratulations to all the Longhaired Exotics who entered and competed in the show ring for titles for the first time – and to their owners and breeders and those who fought the battle to allow these magnificent cats to compete on equal footing in CFA.
