Medicine Dose Calculator

People often use dose and dosage interchangeably, but these terms have different meanings.

The term “Dose” refers to a specified amount of medication taken at one specific time. “Dosage” is a much broader term that involves a specific amount, number, and frequency of doses over a specific period of time.

Below is our PandEcats Medicine Dose Calculator that will help the cat breeder determine the proper dose for any medicine.

How To Use Our Calculator

(1) Cat’s Weight: Select the units from the dropdown menu (grams, kilograms, ounces or pounds) and input your cat’s weight in the selected units.

(2) Dosage: Add the recommended dosage for the medication. Choose the appropriate units from the dropdown menu.

RESULTS

(3) Dose: This is the correct dose based on your cat’s weight.

IF GIVING A LIQUID MEDICATION:

(4) Concentration of a Liquid Medication: Oral or injectable medications have a specific concentration. Input the concentration after selecting the proper units from the dropdown menu.

(5) Liquid Dose: If you enter a number in the Concentration field, the proper liquid dose is calculated in cc. One cc is equal to 1 ml.
