CatPedigrees.com is a collection of breed databases that allows cat fanciers to research the pedigrees of their cats.
There are NINE separate databases varying from the smallest at 1,000 individual cats’ pedigrees, up to the huge Carictor database of over 3/4 of a million individual cats. Each of the Himalayan databases may also includes Persian and/or Exotic pedigrees.
The databases are each named after their contributor’s cattery name.
- Alomi Database (Himalayan/Persian 362,676 Records): This is the personal database of Danish breeder Lasse Mortensen, a retired judge in FIFe.
- Cacao Database (Himalayan/Persian 906 Records): Carissa Altschul shares her personal database of Cacao Himalayans.
- Calivan Database (Himalyan/Persian 569,465 Records): Kathleen Holahan is a breeder of over 100 Grand Champions in CFA. Kathy retired from breeding in 2011 and now focuses on building the Calican pedigree database.
- Carictor Database (Himalayan/Persian 782,062 Records): Cathy Scarbrough started linechasing with her first Silver Persians in the late 1970’s. Her database includes pedigrees from show catalogs, past yearbooks and even cats from studbooks dating from the late 1800’s.
- Enchantedpaw Database (Himalayan/Persian 51,402 Records): Robert Raviv, located in Isreal, began breeding Himalayans in 2000.
- Odin Database (Himalayan/Persian 50,000 Records): Martha Kohlmeyer of Odin Persians was one of the initial members of Persian Linechasers, an e-mail group that exchanges and researches pedigrees. She was a renowned as a breeder of Lilac and Chocolate Persians.
- Per-Lore Database (Himalayan/Persian 552,953 Records): Barb Brush began breeding and showing Himalayans under the Per-lore cattery name in the early 90’s. Her database focuses on pedigrees from both CFA and ACFA, prior to 2015.
- Ristokat Database (Himalayan/Persian 89,815 Records): The husband and wife team of Jon and Kathy Durdick began showing & breeding Himalayans in 1994. Kathy is the Webmaster of CatPedigrees and Associate Editor of PandEcats.com.
- Tanglebox Database (Himalayan/Persian 27,655 Records): Belinda Ernest started established Tanglebox Himalayans in 1996 and had her first national winner, GC, GP, NW Tanglebox’s Sunnyside Up in 2002.
