Dry Eye In Cats

Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS)

Tears are essential to the health of the eye. Dry eye in cats , also called keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is a condition in which the glands of the eyelids are unable to produce a sufficient volume of tears to lubricate and protect the eye, keeping it moist. Dry eye is a serious condition that can result in severe pain and blindness if it is not addressed quickly.
