Bi-color Persians have existed in the breed since they were imported as “Longhairs” from the areas of Persia and Turkey in the mid-late 1800s. It is important to note that the term “Persian” did not come about until the 1950s. Prior to that time, all “Longhair” cats were grouped into one division, and “breeds” were actually defined by colors.
